This week, Fourth Class have been busy with lots of exciting activities!
We began our Egypt projects and even tried mummifying apples in Science.First, we cut the faces into our apples. Then we covered them with a special “natron” mixture made from salt and baking soda — just like the Egyptians used to dry out bodies. We’ll leave the apples in the mixture for a couple of weeks and check what happens. We’re predicting that the salt will draw out the moisture and preserve the apples, just like a real mummy!
In Maths, we created our own bar charts about our favourite things after interviewing our classmates. We also continued our boxing sessions and started into some spooky Halloween art to get into the festive spirit!
